  1. There’s a few great butchers in and around London, but being London there are plenty that are well overpriced. There are a couple of butchers on Upper Richmond Road near North Sheen Station. There is also one by Hampton Station. Well these were about when I used to live that way. I know a good butchers near me but that ain’t in south London Obviously there is Smithfield in central London that will definitely have what you want at a good price, but you have to get there very early. Must admit I’ve still not been there yet, but do want to go at some point to have a look.
  2. Looking forward to Sunday guys. Most of the guys I work with aren’t as into smoking and BBQing so be good to sit back and chat.
  3. I brought 4 bags of the CO2 neutral briquettes last week. Haven’t had a try to use them yet but they were only £20.
  4. That look great. They must have tasted brilliant.
  5. Hi Steve. A pan on some embers while out in the woods sounds brilliant.
  6. Always worth knowing where you are buying things. That is quite terrible, but sadly it happens often.
  7. I brought the Inkbird 4 probe last weekend. It’s well worth the price. It’s £45 on amazon at the moment. I used it over the weekend and it’s so simple to use, I’d recommend them to anyone.
  8. Pork loin Covered with wholegrain mustard and salt and pepper. Cooked in the Kettle with lumpwood charcoal from the local shop as I ran out of briquettes. Still came out ok. lovely and juicy. Served up with some sliced potatoes and sweet potatoes, and broccoli and cauliflower.
  9. I will have to check their cheeses out. We usually just grab milk n cereal from there. Maybe the one by me just isn’t that good.
  10. LIDL veg I have found on more than one occasion to turn too quickly. It’s a shame that I don’t have a Morrisons closer as I find them the best supermarket by far.
  11. A few good meals there might have to give some of them a go through February.
  12. When I get some time I’ll look into it a bit.
  13. I’m not sure how much some of this will help people here. I have had a bit of a health kick since the new year. Obviously the main thing is being careful about what is eaten, and there’s quite a few videos and articles about healthy bbq ideas. Try when you can to use chicken breast rather than thighs. Also I have two days meat free a week which helps. Also on the active side, a GP once told me that he wished more people would get a dog because of the simple health kick it can give people. He explained that with a dog people have a minimum 20 min walk a day, and making a fuss of the dog lowers people’s blood pressure. If people want I can advise a few easy workout videos on YouTube that aren’t difficult to do, and don’t actually feel too tiring. Hope everyone is good.
  14. I just made that today. I looked at the link and thought that it looked nice. The lamb was so soft and the wife and I had to stop ourselves from eating the entire leg.

    Leg Of Lamb

Just watched it. I’m doing a leg of lamb tomorrow.
  16. I had some beech wood when I was staying at a cottage in the summer. I used quite a few logs but probably only needed 4 or 5 chunks of wood if that.
  17. I’ve cooked over wood before. It’s not easy and I used more than I should have but it was good fun.
