Hi and welcome to the group.
  4. Sirloin is lovely. Have you ever roasted a joint of sirloin. It’s so juicy.

    Chicken Gyros

That’s a great tip. Thank you for that.

It was so tasty and so easy to do.

    Chicken Gyros

I got 7 chicken thighs deboned from my local butcher. Marinade in 3 garlic cloves, ground cloves, fresh mint and thyme, salt pepper, lemon juice and olive oil. All crushed in the mortar and pestle and then left to marinade overnight. Set the Weber up for 150C for 2.5 hours. After this I placed the Weber Griddle on with a sliced red pepper, I sliced the chicken into thin strips and lightly cooked it on the griddle to insure it was fully cooked. Served on a wrap with some salad and mayonnaise. Was a fantastic meal, brilliant taste, one of my favourite meals I cooked on the BBQ I then halved and peeled some apples. Sprinkled some sugar and cinnamon. Left in until soft and served with Greek yogurt.
  8. To add to this review I used them again today. They have held a temp of 150 C for the duration of the cook with very little temperature adjustment and what I also have to give them credit for there really is very little smoke for anyone who may have neighbors that get annoyed. Apart from the first couple of minutes there isn’t any. There is a good amount of ash, which I can see being an issue for people. I must admit for the price they are well worth a go.
  9. Hi and welcome. Sounds like you’ve had it bad, and still facing some difficulties, hope all is clear soon. It’s a nice set up you have there.
  10. That’s harsh. I’m guessing she isn’t a fan of pizzas 😜
  11. Hi and welcome. I just use my Weber Kettle at the moment and must admit it’s great to start with to get some practice in.
  12. Looks great. That look perfectly cooked there.
  13. That’s a good amount of briquettes there. I’m gonna guess you weren’t allowed to leave them there.
  14. What’s being used to cook the burgers?
  15. How is the Summit? I’ve got a Kettle at the moment and seen the Summit but not sure whether to get it. on another note I’ve done some pizzas on the stone but want to change the dough up. When I retry I’ll post the method up.
  16. None for me this weekend 😭😭. Mother’s Day with all the family at my aunts and no BBQ there. Have been doing some chicken kebabs during the week if I’m home in time.
  17. What’s the 4K? I’ve not heard of it.
  18. It sounds like you have a nice sized garden. Sadly mine isn’t that big. I’m hoping to move in the next couple of years to have a larger garden and maybe make a man-cave
  19. My garden is organised by the wife and my mother, but I always wanted to have a herb garden. We planted it a couple of years ago and it’s going well. Rosemary, lemon verbena, oregano, thyme, lemon thyme, sage, marjoram, lavender, mint, and we also play some basil. It’s gone really well. The basil we plant is usually the potted ones from Tesco that are surprisingly good. I think I might have to get some new sage and thyme, but will wait until May to make that decision. The mint and marjoram grew so crazy we had to put it in pots so it didn’t take over.
  20. I only use the lumpwood for burgers and basic bbqing. What do other people use it for?
  21. Heatbeads seem to be the popular choice for people. I must admit the C02 Neutral briquettes seem to do the job for myself at the moment.

    Korean BBQ

I don’t blame you there. I’m hoping to get it lit today but all depending on the weather. That looks tasty, my wife has been hassling me to eat out.
  23. Just had the wife go to the local butchers for some chicken breasts and got 5kg for £22. Not a bad deal and really nice staff who are always friendly and helpful. They also give a couple of chicken legs for free to my son.
