  1. lol's you probley have us all beat ..the bbq's over there are out of this world .. from the you tubes i've watched but over here we try with what we have and get decent results with the weather we have ... we do have some pit masters here .. but most are we will get there
  2. finished off with a couple bottles of white ..and Sinbad on the telly ..
  3. £450 new .. so start around £250 ish .. might grab a bargain .. it's going to need sealing but loads of advice on the tube .. that will be my next buy .. after house is done ..
  4. just ordered the Inkbird IRF-2S Wireless Cooking Food Thermometer .. it's the running in and out of the house every 30 mins ..lol for £40 why not
  5. just got my order from big k 4kg Coconut Shell Briquettes just to try 15kg Dura Restaurant Grade Charcoal... huge bag big pieces Seasoned British Oak 8kg i'm going to try it in the smoker and they threw in 4 packs of wood wool starters
  6. so 4 1/2 hrs then wrapped in tinfoil was a little dry so think it should have been wrapped earlier. but will do till next time

    rolled brisket

    so today i will be doing 2 small briskets rolled .. all i could get there seasoned rdy to go with a packet of hickory chips .. will be doing a full starter chimney then snake method till done thinking 4-5 hrs .. wish me luck ..lol
  8. the different density of the meats will need a bit more cooking time .fillet being rather lose and sirloin being tighter you may have to give it a bit longer tough meat takes longer to soften were as denser meat takes the same if you get my drift
  9. looks to be a top loin steak ..and it looks very nice
  10. beef ribs cancelled way to small .. so got a lamb shoulder .. lambs in the oven wind and rain today

  13. dont know about the rings but those wings look nice ... i'll eat 2kg of them a week .. love my wings
  14. hmmm a 1kg chicken cooked in an hr on that ??? i would say in the uk it would be more like 3 hrs with our temps and wind .. and at that point a would use a bbq ... closed hood better temps better cook ...
  15. so going to try a tray as a baffle as i think the main hole from box to grill is to big ? or get some sheet steel and slot it in .. ? ive also grabbed another grill and set them higher to allow more air flow to the coals ..hope this will bring better heat . also a pic of my grill ..3 yrs old now and yes the open part gets covered by tinfoil once the height is set
  16. well tom is 2 aldi 16oz steaks med rare .. just the 2 of us .. and sat i'm going to try beef ribs pick them up tom .. will do a southern mustard and maybe some rocket pesto to go with the salad .. and beetroot coleslaw depends how much foursquare rum i drink ...lol
  17. yeah seen that so started looking for a Thermopro TP20 but it seems there all sold out here and in the eu .. they do do a tp-22 but it looks very fragile .. so i'll keep looking .. :)

  20. that looks nice got a chicken to do tom so will try this Friday .. being on furlough all i have to do is bbq and the wife loves it
  21. can't wait to see it finished .. shoulder do a very good lamb hennery ... so slow and low will bring out the flavour ..

  24. slice them in half take a teaspoon out of each side put garlic butter in and wrap in tinfoil tight .. omg it is wonderful
  25. chicken wings go to aldi .. they also do thick steaks cheap .. prepacked but 16 oz for £4.99 cook it slow all's good ..
