  1. Unfortunately I couldn't get along this time but hopefully I'll get to the one in October. Looks like a great audience for the demo there!!
  2. We'll have to arrange some sort of south east meet at some point!!
  3. Unfortunately it's my nephew's birthday his weekend and my little monster and I will be busy most of the weekend, otherwise I'd have definitely come along, and ideally managed to blag a lift... lol
  4. Wow that does look to be a bargain, wish there were a few more pictures and that I had £70!! ? Edit: Damn, they've all been snapped up in the last few moments, showing as out of stock now.
  5. I was playing a game called Halflife and wanted to sign up for a forum about it, I needed a username and as part of the sign up I needed a zipcode. I just took the name of the software company that made the game, and the only zip code I knew at the time (from the rubbish tv show) and Valve90210 was born! lol
  6. Just to point out, you can actually get 6 probe thermometers marginally cheaper than that on amazon: Here Here 2 Here 3 Here 4 They are all seemingly the same hardware essentially just in different bodies and from what I can see it looks like they all use the same basic software just rebranded. I have a SMart BBQ 6 probe and an Inkbird 2 probe and the software is identical besides the name. I use the 6 probe one more than any of my others, it's reliable and just works.
  7. Must say I prefer the heat beads to the Weber briquettes
  8. I know it's already on the thread but I'll stick this link in again, as I have purchased one of these tubes and was very impressed for the price: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1Pc-BBQ-Smoker-Tube-Grill-Wood-Pellet-Hot-Cold-Smoke-Generator-Smoking-Mesh/123082255570?hash=item1ca8462cd2:m:mmiyoczPDMKYE__uTo195Sw
  9. £90 for the two nights, well worth it for me, warm, dry and no flapping! Totally makes sense, as others have said, you don't want to be lumbered with having to pay out for unbooked pitches. I'm not fussed about the cost, it's such a good weekend, and very godo for my mental health so it's worth every penny!!
  10. Pod booked, more expensive than this year but nevermind, well worth it for such a nice weekend.
  11. Just a quick heads up, my local Aldi currently have starter chimneys for £4.99. They're a good size (about the same as the big webber ones) and have the useful additional swing down handle to help with pouring the coals out, which is often lacking on cheaper chimneys.
  12. You may think this now but it won't be long before there's another bit of kit you need/want!!! ?
  13. I know, I should have done it straight away, but that would have been far too organised for me!!!?

    Which end ??

I have a Bookers card, all I took in was my headed paper and an invoice I'd previously sent out to a client, and that was for my self-employed work as a graphic designer, they didn't seem too bothered with checking anything out really, though to be fair this was a few years ago, so they may be stricter now.
  15. Have to say this was delicious on the friday evening at the smoking weekend, I will definitely be getting hold of some of the spice mix if I can find it, simple but delicious!
  16. Maybe better to have a cold-smoked/homemade goods tasting session on the friday evening of the smoking weekend or something? Could have cheeses, chutneys, pickles, breads etc etc?
  17. @Wade I have loads at home but I know I have basically none compared to you! lol
  18. I've got hickory pellets which I'll be bringing with me, you're welcome to grab some.
  19. I might be up that early but I'm hoping to getting a run in first thing, so if you could have breakfast ready for me when i'm back that'd be smashing! ?? I'm aiming to get there sort of mid afternoon friday as I have the day off but I will be packing up my car and doing a lot of faffing about in the morning most likely so we shall see. Still pondering on whether I can fit both my smokers in the car...
  20. I have one of the 6 probe thermometers, it's great I can use it to monitor 2 smokers and 4 joints of meat all at once on one device, works like a charm!
  21. Ooo, that does look like the sort of thing I need as it's basically prebuilt, I may have to get myself one and have a tinker!! Cheers Wade
  22. I could if I knew what I was doing but that definitely sounds well beyond my skill level sadly. for the time being I'll stick to unplugging the fan for a few minutes and trying to remember to plug it back in...lol
