  1. The elements will definitely effect your smoker, wind and rain especially. Just be careful of the fire risk with the wood surrounding. I know Wade has used something as simple as a cardboard box as a shield from the wind.
  2. Think we have sorted it now. Personal preference I guess.
  3. Looking for members who view the forum on an iPhone. We have a memeber who is having difficulty viewing the forum with an iPhone. He is shown as logged on, but is not allowed to view certain areas of the forum, for example Preserving, in all about 10-12 areas. Is anybody else experiencing this problem? If you are can you please let us know and we can contact the forum developers to see if there is a problem and get it rectified" Thanks Steve
  4. Hi Ian, and welcome to the Forum.

    Hi

Hi Mick, welcome to WoodSmoke Forum. The Forum is in association with Country Wood Smoke Facebook site. Please be sure to visit the Groups section and join the South East Group and then drop your Marker on the Members Map Steve
  7. Haha, yes it's been pointed out, have contacted the designer to change it.
  8. The latest update to the WoodSmoke Forum is the addition of our new Logo. We hope you like the design and it enhances the Forum.
  9. Yes looks pretty good, Wade is going to rescale so it's more in proportion with the site.
  10. Yes it's the brains of the controller. It samples the temperature at the probe, at set intervals, if it took to many samples in a short period of time, the display (and control) would be very erratic.Lind of smooths it out. Calibrate in boiling water, but do not submerge the probe, only 25mm. If water gets in the crimped end, 90% of the time it will fail.
  11. Scott, could not find the Manual, might of been mistaken with the Senior Manual. These are the only setting available, and to be honest adjustment of the last two is all that's needed. Settings for Qmaster-Lite P= Proportional Value. Setting 30 Seconds I= Integeral Value. Setting 240 Seconds D= Derivative Value. Setting 60 Seconds CF= Temperature Scale. Centigrade or Fahrenheit Pb= Probe Calibration. + - to adjust.

  13. Link to the QMaster - Senior ATC Manual. QMaster-Senior Manual
  14. I will dig them out and either post them or send them to you.
  15. James, once you have tried your own made Bacon, there is no going back!!!
  16. Will post up my Beer Keg Tandoori build.
  17. They look amazing, glad they worked out for you. Another lesson learned, if at first you don't succeed try try again!
  18. Further to the introduction of the Member Map, we have now added several other Maps, including Charcoal Supliers, Wood Suppliers etc. If you have any reputable suppliers you know or use, please add them to the appropriate map. If you have an idea for any further maps please let Wade or myself know.
  19. Haha, Wade must of been typing when I was!
  20. I bought some Gammon Hocks (ready cured) from Morrisons and cooked them. Wade will be able to advise you better, but from what I have read, you have to be careful not to get meat near the bone to go sour due to not curing, so more time curing the better.
  21. Thanks Wade for that I was on about The Smoke you quoted
