Icefever
Unless you have a deep pocket, buying a slicer is a bit of a nightmare, we payed a couple of hundred for a slicer, which works well but I have a post on here about how it doesn't slice all the way through. You have to stop and trim the end of the bacon and start again. but folks say that they all do this?? it seems only the big industrial ones do the job ok. Some guys leave the bacon in the fridge, or freeze for a short while then cut with a sharp knife... Ice.

Smokin Monkey
As @Icefever has said, most leave a tail on the end.

I picked up a Buffalo slicer for under £50.
Wade
I use a Buffalo slicer - Nisbets brand name product but available through other outlets. Go for the largest diameter blade that you can afford.

Let us know how you get on with it. Mine has been great, apart from the time I took my finger tips off.

Wade
When you slice your bacon you may get a "tail" form every few slices that needs trimming off. This is common for most slicers. If you chill the meat well before you slice it is less likely to happen.
jockaneezer
I once accidentally backed into the bacon slicer at our local butcher's, they got a little behind with their orders ! 🤣
