  1. we could do a monopoly game....whoever lands on your house is cooking instead of rent haha🍻
  2. Obviously I'm interested. Would be great to see other members ideas and creativity!🍻😁
  3. Myabe I should look into getting myself a more portable grill so I could possibly attend one of these i the future.
  4. Congrats on your purchase👍 Some of the easy ones are jacket/hasselback potatoes, corn cobs, disposable tray with chopped onions and peppers, yorkshire puddings etc. After roasting a joint of meat and while it rests, you could do some roast potatoes in an oven tray, dome temp around 220- 250C works best (i like to put the tray and oil directly on the heat deflector so it gets good contact heat). I normally put this in before the meat is ready to come off the grill to catch some drippings....but vegetarians wont be happy with that lol. Homemade vegetarian burgers or falafels, stuffed peppers If you fancy investing in a enamel coated dutch oven at a later date then that will open up your options for some vegetarian stews/soups/casseroles/curries. Smoked vegetarian chilli con carne is great😋 Hopefully something I suggested will be useful for you. 🍻

    Burgers and chips

As a few of you would have noticed, I enjoy cooking allsorts outdoors aswell as bbq... and today was no different😁 We had a few left over from yesterday Buns toasted, burgers and chips on My wife wanted some cheesy chips with bacon bits on I normally dont get the fireplate out unless im cooking for alot of people, but the sun was shining and I wanted to test out the wok stand with it....any excuse for me haha😁👍🍻
  8. My post is not going to be constructive...however keep us updated on your progress please! Maybe one day I can start a project similar to your own (pretty much the same, just rotated 90% anti-clockwise). Only thing I could suggest is to make sure the kitchen end has good natural ventilation to avoid any carbon monoxide build up if your going with charcoal bbq (surely the opening would be enough to eliminate any risk???) Looks great already and looking forward to the finished result!😁👍
  9. looks correct to me. As you say, I reckon it will be to allow for expansion from the heat👍
  10. I was cooking it while the kamado was pre-heating, ready for cooking a curry. I get higher temps for stir frying from the lumpwood than I do from the gas hob.... and as a bonus it saves me cleaning the gas hob and wall tiles from spatter when ever i use the wok haha🍻
  11. I dont see why not, my deflector plates and ceramic pizza plate seems identical in build/materials wise....i sometimes use my pizza stone as a deflector plate. in the picture I am using my pizza stone as a hotplate/hob. The metal underneath is a wok stand and the middle of the pizza stone is over direct heat.
  12. Impressed you especially with that price😉
  13. Definitely going to show my wife these pictures👍 Is that the lidl mini kamado you have aswell?
  14. Fantastic work Toucs! Completely different looking space👍👍 We aint sure what to do with the bottom of our garden thats next to the shed (pretty much a mirror image to yours with the shed location). I think you may have decided what its to be used for😁 Currently doing a countertop for my kamado...long winded since more important jobs keep getting in the way😩 Thanks for the inspiration😁😁👍
  15. Thanks nbr_uk I was going to drill 40mm holes spaced evenly down the length of a rectangle. Then cut it in half through the middle of the holes (to get 2 wok crowns)...when I asked my boss he said do them on the laser cutter so winner! Then I just rolled and tig welded them👍
  16. These do look really good as a starting point. I may get one at a later date to go along side mine. I have managed to source some offcuts of stainless steel angle that I decided to use. Already cut and mitred....just waiting for a free weekend to weld them up😩 Thanks for the heads up😁👍
  17. I made a couple of wok stands today on my dinner break out of some scrap stainless steel. Thought I would put a couple of pics on here. One will fit over the Monolith fireplate outlet hole and the other I will put on a table like in the picture....hopefully they are wide enough once there is food in the wok haha
  18. I do most of mine from scratch aswell, apart from the base sauce. The tubs we have work out nicely. One tub does 1 curry to serve 4. We have 2 servings on the day i make a curry then the last 2 the next day👍
  19. Could well be, been 3 years since classic 3 launched or maybe a new accessory to sell to a bigger user base?
  20. Congrats on your purchase! I wonder if Pittmab can resist the shiny temptation? 🤣😂🍻
  21. I would be tempted myself...my wife would not be impressed though! Haha
  22. I was meaning to do that batch a while ago, full steam ahead now its done😋 Im glad you liked the post aswell👍
  23. No problem Justin, this is the link to the one that I used: https://greatcurryrecipes.net/2013/12/31/make-indian-restaurant-style-curry-sauce-large-batch/ Full credit goes to The Curry Guy (Dan Toombs) for the base sauce. Ingredients are waaay down the bottom of the page. There is a smaller batch version that he makes on his website if you would prefer that. I usually get 32 servings per batch. I normally cook 4 or 8 servings at a time with different curries, great for midweek quick cooks aswell as long slow cooks👍
  24. Took me best part of 5 years to get my wife on board with getting mine haha. The justification will come once your cooking allsorts on it👍 Have you just decided or have you bit the bullet and ordered?
  25. I reckon....that there is enough for me to have some leftovers😋😋 Looks great!
