Gurnard

Anyone slung Gurnard on the Q before? Going to in next couple of days.

Any advice/guidance will be considered but not necessarily followed😎

You can understand why its called a Gurnard when you look at the face.

Thanks , know it’s a fish and cook it regularly was specifically asking if anyone had slung it on a Q either smoked or in a basket with herbs & citrus, like last nights mackerel

Might “curry” the gurnard and then sling it on a cedar plank

Did a weird thing earlier for lunch....

done a bit of fish on bbq over the years but watched a chap on tv cook mackerel with a blowtorch!!!

Tried it myself today, absolute revaluation!!!

Hit it skin side with a proper torch and add a squirt of lemon.. job done 🤷‍♂️

I would be frightened of burning it! They are very powerful things those Gas Guns.

I think I will stick to my fish bats and the bbq.
