sotv
Do you ever use mustard to coat your meats when needed before applying a rub? When I usually do pork (ribs, pulled pork) I use Heinz Yellow Mustard it is mild in flavour and heat. I usually use the honey flavoured one and the plain mild one as well occasionally (They do a hot version as well) They come in a squeezy bottle so I give the meat a squirt of it and spread it over with a silicone brush. Hot mustard doesn't suit my palate, wondered do others use the strong English Mustards when coating there meat, or go for the milder ones like this? I use dry mustard in a rub I have the recipe for. We do use milder mustard (the softer type in a bottle). Ice.
Phlashster
I have used Sriracha chilli sauce before. As it is a thin coating, it only adds a mild hint of flavour. Often just use a little oil and so far, have never used mustard. The family don't like the flavour. Phil.
Smokin Monkey
American Mustard, as it’s not a strong flavour. 2
