  3. Asking the collective minds where is the best place to get these. Really want to do some.pulled beef tacos and big beef ribs. My butcher next door is mainly pork as they own a pig farm.
  4. Seems to have held up so far. You can still touch all the outside bar the firebox door. Grit blasted it in our drive in bay at work then used a gravity spray gun. Only a cheapy of eBay but seemed to work ok.
  5. I used etch primer followed by filler primer. Then 3 coats of automotive metallic in blood black and then 2 coats of anti scratch automotive clear coat.

    First time using the inkbird 6 probe I won. Easy to check meat temp whilst laying in bed 😄

    Put this 10lb shoulder on at 10 last night. Still going. Got ribs and pbbe to prep and do later. All while looking at this view.

    Cooking lunch for the boys at work today. 4 racks of baby backs. Not so baby though 😮. Yes that's a full size sink next to them.
  14. The kettle gets the most use even if it's just too light the chimney starter 😁. Little offset and cowboy are both new.

  16. Took a trip to a local garden centre yesterday and while looking round the BBQ section my wife saw this. Unlike her but she said that looks useful we could do curry and chilli outside. Bonus. ( We do love a curry). It has a plancha enamelled Dutch oven/pot and a grill. Has any one seen or used one before? I only paid 60 and doubt if pay the original price of 100.
  17. I bought some chilli brats from Aldi and they are uncooked not the ready to eat type. Has anyone smoked brats and rightly hour long did it take? What IT temp should I be shooting for?

  19. That's really to hard the answer as it depends on your ability and what tools you have available. Hours wise I guess around 80 including the paint which was 12 hours on its own.
  20. A stumps with my paint and the Slam latch is $4900 PLUS shipping and tax. So that's about 4k plus shipping. I'm pleased with the saving but more pleased with accomplishment of building it myself. The smell of the ribs today made it worth the wait. 😋😋😋😏
