    I have that knife also.

You can pay £90+ for just a rotisserie kit for a kettle grill so this seems like it might be a good buy.

You could probably swap the battery motor out for a mains one I reckon.

Posted this in reply earlier but seems my post has gone?

That's what I was thinking....it could be made to fit with a little mod I'm sure.

For the money not a bad deal on BBQ.

That's what I thought...and with the rotisserie fit a weber??? I think it maybe a little small, but could be made to fit.

Interesting.. I've got my own limited company, would that be good enough?  Or would the fact I'm an IT consultant exclude me?

Same as me dude, if I remember I started the ball rolling online that gave me a number I then went to our  local store and the lady setup the card right away.

Unfortunately I don't think I know anyone with a card but it's not something I have looked at in detail either. How do you get one? I guess they only serve businesses.

It's not unknow for folks to make up a fake invoice and take that to join...😎..not that I'm saying do that...😵.

I believe they don't check any info unlike Costco....and they don't have a charge for the card...I'm a one man self-employed and I had no problems getting a card some 4 years back.  We buy in bulk and save loads on basic items.

  6. I have a Booker card so I buy most of our meat/chicken from them, the Belvedere Meaty Pork Spare Ribs are brilliant and I know a number of us on here do buy them.  I've looked at some of the online butcher sites and when I put my money head on I change my mind and leave it.

I understand some cuts of meat are hard to find in most butchers. but if you know some one with a Booker card you are allowed to shop with them...just my 2 cents.

From what I see on the weather map for you guys you'll need the bbq under some cover 😉 I've now got my frontier outside...used it yesterday and I'm cooking pork on it later today..👍

I recently ordered play sand for the next cook and it’s sat in the shed probably going damp, so thanks for the heads up. I might chuck it in the oven a day before I plan on using it then.

Not sure the wife will love that idea 🤣 fire up the bbq the day before and do a test burn just to help dry it...👍

  9. Who doesn't like a curry? ok, there's always one....🤣

Yesterday out shopping and for some reason I picked up a tray of chicken thighs & a large tub of yoghurt thinking maybe Butter chicken for Sat?.

I've cooked loads of curries but can't remember cooking a curry on the BBQ before...but I was surfing for a recipe for a curry meal and came across this one on the ProQ site a few mins back.

Ok guys what's on your menu for Sat?

  10. I've used sand instead of water in my Frontier for a few years now.
The other day when I started setting her up I filled the bowl with half a bag of sand left from last year.

Now the sand was in the plastic bag with the top rolled over and taped to keep it clean....this as been sat on the shelf in the garage.
When the chimney of heat beads was ready I poured them into the fire basket, popped in the bowl of sand, on with the top and left her to heat up.

I came to check the temp after 25/30 mins and it was very slow to heat up, wondering why I lifted the lid to find a cloud of fine steam floating around inside...then it hit me...the sand was wet and all the heat was going into drying the sand out.
Even though the sand had been in a covered plastic bag it must have taken moisture from the air ???....I can't see or think of any other reason.
I had to then leave it until the sand dried out (almost an hour) and the temp started to climb before I could start grilling....so watch that sand. 👍
