Probe Suitable For Pro Q Smoker

Hello,

Please can anyone help or advise ?

I'd like to get a quality temp probe that will fit through the probe holes on my pro q smoker...........looking for probes that will push through the hole so I can use them, so heat proof cables. My current probe works well but I can't feed it through the holes.

Any guidance appreciated.

Not sure on the size of your probes, but i can fit a couple of Tappecue probes through the silicone hole on my ProQ & these are quite big around 4/5mm diameter

So i'd suggest most below this diameter should fit.

If you are confident in your DIY skills, you can add Weber #85037 grommets using a step drill to drill the 1 1/4” hole, or file a groove in the rim of the stacker that the lid sits on and put the probes through that and just drop the lid on and off during cooking.

Plenty of Youtube videos of peoples handiwork drilling and installing the Weber grommets on different smokers

If you don't fancy that and want a new temp set up, quite a few threads on here with peoples experiences and recommendations for different ones.
