  15. does this sound ok to people ? African Hot Sauce Recipe You need HOT peppers for this one, if you can get them Red Savina which will give you heat and the flavour of African style sauces. If you can't get Savina then at least Habanero or else it won't be hot enough! 12 Chilli Peppers 1 small sweet Green Pepper 2 cloves Garlic 1 medium Onion 2 cans Tomato Paste 4 tablespoons Vinegar 1 teaspoon Sugar 1 teaspoon Salt Remove stems and seeds from peppers - take the necessary precautions when handling hot peppers. Grind hot peppers, green pepper, garlic, and onion (or use food processor). Combine all ingredients in sauce pan. Simmer for an hour or two. Add cayenne pepper if desired. Put into sterilized jars and refrigerate.

  17. I seem to have grown 3 large pumpkins, the biggest weighing in at 4 stone. My daughter is going to carve one( the reason I grew them) does anyone have ideas for the others at all ?

    Ribs

    Gonna do my first attempt at ribs later in the week whilst I'm on my rest days from work, any tips, sauces, apple juice and stuff??

When we returned from our summer hols back in August we found that we had about 20 cucumber in the poly tunnel, so there was nothing else to do with them other than make cucumber pickle .That was about 8 weeks ago, we now have a stack of jars with the pickle in it just waiting for it to mature. Does anyone else make pickles ?

  21. Hi Josie and welcome , I have a Kadai but have only used it as a firepit so far, want to get the pyramid stand for pots and try using it for cooking a chilli sometime. Enjoy the forum

  23. I see on FB forums that people, mainly in the US talk about seasoning their new smokers as in burning some coals in it before actually smoking some meat, I wonder is there a need, does this enhance the smoking of the meats in any way, has it been proved at all ?
