cheers hoping to get a few photos up after the build.

I've got stainless deflector plates on order. and currently looking for meat thermometer.

and need a good supplier for charcoal.

I'm sure we will have one local as I'm in the national forest area.

If you cant find any locally then there is these for online:

ebc charcoal is pretty decent

https://everburningcharcoal.co.uk/

and also log-delivery is what im currently using

https://www.log-delivery.co.uk/

Unfortunately you have to buy a few bags to make it worthwile.

I tend try not to pay over £1.50 per kg (my last order worked out about £1.25 per kilo, which im happy with)👍😁🍻

I've used Fogon before, pretty good stuff and comes in big lumps and seemed to work well in the kamado.

I have found that if using in the kettle and lighting via chimney starter then although it burns well, the burn doesn't seem to last as long as others.

I'm back to using Everburning Charcoal now as it's always been reliable.

ok cheers id heard that using a chimney is not recommended as it shocks the ceramic when dropping the red hot charcoal in.
