Smokin Monkey
Come on, get your Tackle Out! Lets see what BBQ equipment you guys use (or have stored away), it's ok the wife can't see this, so she will not know how much you've spent on your addiction. This is BBQ therapy, share with the group and see how much better you will feel!

It is similar to a WSM however it has addressed one of the WSM usability issues - how to access the bottom cooking grate easily. https://www.macsbbq.com/hot-smokers/ProQ-FRONTIER-BBQ-Smoker I have used both the WSM and I use a ProQ for training and I must confess that I prefer the ProQ. valve90210
Looking at this thread makes me feel much better, I've only got the 6 bbqs at the moment... No pics to upload with me right now but a quick list Callow Bullet Smoker Super cheap Weber lookalike (best £10 ever spent! :)) A lovely big brick charcoal grill that will also be my rotisserie when I can get it finished in the spring A cheap and nasty little grill bbq which I've had sat outside uncovered for the last 5 years - this might be retired soon 2 cheap and cheerful 2 burner gas bbqs which I only really use for super quick spur of the moment bbqs I'm very tempted by a ProQ, and a genuine Weber one day, oh and I'm interested to hear about the new Callow when it arrives, and I'd like to build myself a Tandoor next year...
thesmokinbishop
I thank everyone on this thread. I've been nagging the wife to authorise a WSM purchase to stand along side my weber kettle, this thread has given her hard evidence that 2 BBQs is just fine! :-)
Wade
Having 2 BBQs of different types will certainly give you the flexibility that you need when cooking for even a small group. This will enable you forget about the slow smoking meat in the vertical smoker while you are also preparing the faster cooking foods in the Kettle. It really helps when trying to deliver a combination of BBQ goodies as a meal. You specifically mention the WSM... however you may find that a ProQ vertical smoker is a better option. I have used both and both cook well - however the ProQ makes getting to the meats on both cooking racks much more convenient.

I've been looking at both, at the moment there's a couple of heavily discounted WSM which is making them about £50 cheaper than the equivalent proQ, if they were both full price, I think I would go for the proQ, sucker for a sale!
