  1. Thank you Wade. I surprised myself how tasty it was. πŸ‘
  2. Hi Mo I recently bought the Proq frontier and would highly recommend. Such a versatile smoker. Loads of deals out there. As an example https://www.souschef.co.uk/products/proq-frontier-elite-cold-smoking-bundle I did my first cold smoked salmon and cheese for christmas. I wont buy ready packed smoked salmon again.
  3. Fire is and has been my life πŸ˜ƒ
  4. I usually store my sawdust in a container and keep it in the airing cupboard πŸ‘
  5. Wade you will love the series. It gets better. Oh to have the ingredients in the uk like they have there. Great programme and lots learnt from it. πŸ‘
  6. Smokin monkey I hope to do a rack of lamb ribs. I alternated between putting on hickory and apple wood chunks.
  7. Well a first today. Smoked lamb shoulder. Cooked for 6 hrs and pulled after resting. So yummy.
  8. I have a covered area where I can cook and smoke when the weather is bad πŸ‘
  9. Yes these are the ProQ coconut briquettes. They last ages. But I will be trying different fuel from Mr charcoal. I put up some info on him and his charcoal
  10. Thank you wade. I used a chilli and honey rub. And the total time cooking was seven and a half hours. We finished what was left tonight. Cut up and heated up in the pan. Very yummy.
  11. Hi all. Well today I took a ride to Wisbech and met Mr Charcoal (Tony). A very nice man and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He even lit some different types of charcoal and watched the development. As you can see from the pictures it was hot. I was there for about an hour and a half. One type when developed had an ash and when knocked of it was glowing red underneath. I bought 3 bags at a steal and look forward to using it. I would highly recommend him. A very genuine guy. Hope you find this helpful?
  12. This is my first time at smoking and with a newly purchased ProQ frontier. Was a rack of pork ribs and a small pork shoulder. The crackling done separately. Very pleased and tasty for my first attempt.
  13. Just watched it, so funny, but also some tasty looking food. How I wish we had the access like the Americans do to all the equipment and sauces and rubs and everything bbq etc like they have in their Walmart.
  14. Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and finding my way around. I have introduced myself in the new members. So I found this thread on briquettes, I have just bought a ProQ frontier and will try my first cook soon.
