TeeBo
Greetings fellow BBQ-natics, Weather (in the SE) forecast this weekend meant to be quite sunny. Any BBQ-ing plans? Placed an order from Turner George for some pork & beef ribs. Most of the rubs I've been using involve sugar (lots) and paprika. Anyone considered something more simple? Just salt & black pepper? Foggy01.1983
Couple of days ago i did beef short ribs on my WSM. Only rub I use on them is a basic salt and pepper. Here's what I did https://www.woodsmokeforum.uk/topic/2823-beef-short-ribs-on-e-wsm/ Pork ribs on my view should always be sweet, sticky and spicy. The good thing with cooking is you can do what ever you like the taste of lol.
smokeyjoe
if you have got good meat, s+p is all you need, i think we all tend to automatically reach for a rub when a good simple seasoned piece of meat takes some beating.

Agreed. These days I generally stick with a simple SPG rub Cheers n Gone Nick
