Had a go of it today. Really nice, wish I could have had a go on the grill but just did it in the oven. 

Fantastic mate. Might try that next week. 

Did some cooking when away but forgot to take a phone charger so no pics. But to be honest it was a few quick thrown together things.

I’ll be taking my Dutch oven with me in a couple of weeks when we go away for a few days. Looking forward to a break. Until then I’ve done a few on the bbq. Got some fillet steaks on there yesterday.

Anyone know of any good charcoal briquettes on deals? I’m starting to run low.

Definitely hot enough to give a try. I’ve been laying in a pool all day to keep cool.

I used to use these CO2 neutral briquettes which were really good and lasted a long time. Using green olive briquettes which r pretty good 

Hi. Welcome to the forum. There are a few different websites for wood or pellets. It’s depends on what you’re planning to cook. Some sites give a discount if you buy more. 

Those look great pics there. Sadly working most of the weekend and the wife just got an allotment so when I’ve not been working I’ve been digging up a mass of weeds. I’ve got some wings in the freezer that I might do this Sunday. 

What price range are you looking at? I was having a look at some and there r some for £50

Weather aside, the cost of a decent joint is continuing to rise at an alarming rate due to all the various reasons we hear on a daily basis in the news. 

I'm cooking less than I was due to increase cost of the base product, I'm also considering more the impact my activities have on the environment. This mean I'm cooking less.

I'm by no means an eco warrior, but the fact that globally we are not currently on track to hold global warming below 3 Deg by 2050 concerns me for the future generations. Whilst my little smoker in the back yard is insignificant on its own, as a collective it can have a positive impact if used less.

It's a bit like the news today, the UK is on track to meet it's targets, but the UK alone cannot change the world.

All pretty depressing stuff, but we can no longer afford to bury our heads in the sand. This shit is now very real.

Seems this year everything has got pretty expensive but hopefully if people find good deals they put it up. With the environment I think things are changing all over the world in a good way.
