    Yes mate...thanks....it arrived as promised on the Fri...two box's sat in the living room.  We carried them out on to the patio and thought we'll make a start now and finish her off on the Sat.

    We got stuck in and within a couple of hours...if that...it was sat there just waiting for a bucket of hot coals. :yahoo:

    Sanity prevailed thank goodness, I want to get all if not most of the mods fixed before we fire her up.  It won't be this weekend as we're off to Billing,  taking the Brinkman for that, we don't have anything planned for the weekend after so that's looking good for her maiden run.

    We have a couple of meat thermometers that we've used in the kitchen for a long time, as they may not be that accurate these days...I think it's time to take a step up the ladder.

    We're in the market for a digital one but not sure which to choose,  I know the "inkbird" name from my brewing hobby.  I have a couple of fermentation fridges that are run via pid.

    Last weekend when we did the gammon and fattie we only had the one probe to use and it was a bit of a PITA.  ?

    Well done...I think I may have a go and follow in your footsteps,  as we have a big family do on the 4th Aug.

    I've watched a few of his videos....have you a link to the pork injection that you used??  just had a look and can't see it.

    (Just lost signal...away in the caravan this weekend)...I've got 15mm rope for the lid and also some 5mm flat will have a go on Mon after work.
