Brendan
Just setting up my Aldi kamodo, done the first cure (with instant charcoal d’oh! Won’t be doing that again) and getting ready now to do my first roast. just a question on location. Can I leave it on my composite decking if I put some terrace tiles underneath. I have four 60x60 20ml tiles I can use to lay on the decking and put the kamado on it and use it? Clearly don’t want to ruin my decking but would like to BBQ where people will be rather than halfway down the garden! Any insights?
AdamG
That should be fine if its in the original cart. I would just be careful of charcoal ash falling out of the bottom vent and landing on the decking...I have only ever read online about this possibly happening (my impression is its extremely rare) but I have never experienced it myself and I will have had my kamado for 4 years in july. Would be great to see a pic once you have it set up👍 Are you using lumpwood or briquettes?
