  1. Is anyone else having problems with the wind today? One moment completely still next moving tree I gauge wind by about like it’s a kids toy!!

temp going up and down like a yo-yo, all timings shot, best I stick another couple of bottles of rose in the cooler for management 🤞🤞

also running Napoleon coconut briquettes , good heat but a lot of ash, burn rate ok but need to riddle the fire box to keep temp in range more often than expected unless it’s the wind......

  2. Hope your replacement is as faithful as it’s predecessor, having previously spent a fair amount of time researching before pulling the trigger on Q’s , lucky to have friends in the states in the Q trade, Smoke Hollow doesn’t rate very highly, message sent last night just got a laughing icon and that they don’t last very long or fuel efficient but hope to be proved wrong🤞

Well guys Grilling on my old faithful last night(Thursday) and something was bought to my attention.

I have burnt through my beloved Outback which I purchased in June 1991.

It is or was awesome as a grill, measuring 36x18 inches for grill size split 50/50,with very thick heavy

cast grill plates. So 29 years of parties family do's and just sexy Steak for two. Full of memories, but

what do I replace with. I offered Gas ,a firm no, same to pellet(my choice). As I have the WSM and we

    split on the grill?

This was her choice, and mine at just over £200 good value I think???

We have a baby gas twin burner in the shed been there 5 years.

Have you a picture of the “wear and tear” as it maybe possible to repair for less than the potential replacement.

look around for a blacksmith/fabricator/agricultural/plants repairs man in your local area, mine recently upped sticks and moved to France🤬 had some new grates fabricated for a 25 year old thermos gasser after about 18 years got another 4 years out of it before the ally fire box finally cried enough, have to admit wasn’t cared for at all and general abused, but that was because it fell 20 feet on road stone when the “digger driver tried to move it in the bucket with a 10 tonner”

  4. Thanks , know it’s a fish and cook it regularly was specifically asking if anyone had slung it on a Q either smoked or in a basket with herbs & citrus, like last nights mackerel

  6. Similar price to the current one on website, maybe a couple of quid cheaper and was in stock at the time about a month ago

never set eyes on it before pulling the trigger  or seen  the ProQ but had visited the old shop as moved since I visited and impressed by the quality of Napoleons seen on that visit even though got Broil King gasser on the day from them

  7. Thanks for the responses. Just looked on Amazing Ribs, screenshot below.

Basically the same, the legs on mine are different to those shown as they have a diagonal brace.

When in the market opted against WSM , found a deal with Napoleon cover, charcoal and firefighters at Beds BBQ and in stock. Couldn’t find a ProQ in stock anywhere and no other Napoleon stockist have the 300. No complaints with performance so far.

  8. Smoke is now available from Thermapen/ETI used for the first time on beef ribs smoke but grate temp only, like the MK4 does what it says on the tin(box). Also if you aren’t fussed about the colour reductions on certain colours, have a lovely coral coloured one, stands out in the draw when looking for it

  9. Management tells me I’m in charge of external irrigation. Having the following to irrigate, spuds in bags, broad beans, runners, courgette, toms, beetroot, parsnips, strawbs & rhubarb and some herbs.

making salsa to go with beef ribs tonight, also trying home made tortillas, what could possibly go wrong🥺
