  1. I've watched a lot of the videos from the fella from little green cheese, Gavin Webber. He seems to know his stuff. I'm also looking at cheese making, just need more space for all these hobbies... The boss has said once I finish converting the bathroom into a shower room I can start the cheese adventure.
  2. Thank you all for a fantastic weekend. Fabulous food and we both learned a lot! We will definitely be cooking at the next event, whenever that is. I would book billing this week but Lynne has just made me buy a cowboy stove (thanks Steve) so it will have to be next week! Our son Max has just had all of the food that we brought home and says you guys really can cook! Thanks again.
  3. This I can manage... after all, who dares wins, mon petit pois. Bonjour!
  4. We are now booked. Just have to decide what to cook. My wife says she will make welsh cakes, as she's from Wales. I'm originally from Peckham, what should I make?
  5. Thanks for the welcoming messages, you certainly are friendly on here. So far I have been smoking ribs, pulled pork and various forms of chicken. Smoked chicken breast and ribs have been the most popular at home so far. I find that "minding" the smoker whilst staying hydrated with a couple of pints of home brewed ipa on a sunny afternoon is a wise way to spend my time.
  6. I've just been looking at that. I have my social secretary checking dates and it's looking a strong possibility. Once I have the green light I can get booked in. I do enjoy the social side of these hobbies...
  7. Hi Icefever It was by following posts from you that led me here! Thank you Adman
  8. Hi, I'm Adman currently living in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. I got here by following posts in an unrelated forum, but posts about bbq and smoking, which I have an interest in. I have a modified Brinkmann Gourmet which I have been learning for the past 2 years with the help of Google, and mainly US sites. It's really good to find this site based in the UK. My other hobbies include home brewing and related activities, I like having really good food and drink that I have made myself. Having seen Woodsmoke 18 posts (looked like a great weekend, even with the rain!) I have penciled in the dates for next year, it will nicely compliment the homebrew festival weekend that I attend each year. I guess that's it from me for now, time to start reading and getting up to speed. Adman
