I am settled on my old weber kettle and wsm mate, it works lovely especially with the smart fire on the wsm and inkbird go on the kettle. I am settled.
Have a large WSM myself Justin and have used for about 10 years it is a fantastic bit of kit, in fact anything with the name Weber on it jst does what you want perfectly.
Having said that all I can say about the 800 is WOW!!!

Very much so old chap and if you normally cook for yourself and your good lady it could be
the perfect tool for you. I am very impressed by this Gravity fed business it is brill and once lit
very easy to use. This from what I can see is just a smaller, more portable version.

Justin have you seen this little monster?

Finally got round to firing mine up. Burn in first then on Saturday , Griddle on and Smash Burgers
and quesadillas (Ham, Cheese and Onion). That was a huge success and 8 happy bellies.
Sunday smoked a leg of Lamb and this machine is so easy to use, it is almost idiot proof, even I
will have success with this Masterbuilt 800. Expensive lay out ,but a complete garden cook system in
one machine.
By the way the lamb was fantastic, cooked at 250f for 5 hrs then upped temperature to 450f to crisp
skin and sizzle some Cumberland Sausages.

Still around and on the grill/smoker at least 3 days a week come rain or shine.
just not much to talk about I guess 🤷Fired my new Masterbuilt 800 up three times over the bank holiday. Once to burn in, once to use the Griddle and do some smash burgers and
on the Sunday smoked a 2.5Kg leg of Lamb. All were successful especially the Lamb which was heavenly. I would deffo recommend one of these
machines.

Found this, great value but appears to be last years model. Masterbuilt made several mods at the end of last season, they included new design on burner plate and a griddle plate and manifold. However if you buy these items to add it is still a very good price.
-
yes the Kamado was over in the Sunbury store this morning, enquired about the 800 out of interest
and they don't stock it or list it as a store item so maybe you should jump in quick.
To late for me .
-
I have been a member for years, love the place, but it would not be the first time stuff was advertised and not stocked.
still worth a phone call.
-
I think you will find that is a red herring mate.
-
Thats a good call, mind you Mrs Firefever sounds like a woman not to be messed with.
-
I will let you know when I use it. From what I have read it is a very impressive piece of kit. It's not very often
the Yanks get all excited about a new machine is it🤣. Several other companies have brought their own
version out.

We must remember guys it is just April, so we could have another 4 weeks of this.
So much for Global Warming. More like an Ice Age to make you feel at home Ice.
It is all you fault.

Not even built it yet Ice. It's to cold to use it proper, i am a fair weather
BBQer. So nought at this moment in time, but first will be Chicken on the electric
rotisserie.

Or next weekend according to the happy faced twat on the telly, gleefully saying
that it could be snowing next weekend. So much for global warming, this time two
years back in lockdown I was smokin'ribs and smashin' burgers and drinking cold
beer in 70 degrees of sunshine. Now I am scrapping ice off the car windows and
keeping my Winter coat on. Come on sunshine do your thing...🥶

Yes everything has gone up. It used to cost me £110 to fill my Bentley with fuel,
now it's £180. So say my fault for owning one, but we all need our little pleasures
don't we. So it will do £15 a bag times five £75 free delivery and me full for the month.
-
I might give this bunch a go if the temp even goes above zero again.
-
Well what about green olive wood? I know its their product will they deliver to you if you buy in bulk.
It could be worth a call.
-
Just came across this.
Hope its of use. I know the product is very good quality..

The reason I have ordered one of these, if anyone is interested, is because barbequing
or smoking as we call it is an American obsession "Low & Slow" we hear them say. Well
this is a yankie machine the 560 is proven and been about for several years, the big one
is too large for what I want, the 800 is perfect size and comes with a griddle plate!
Its a bit of a Swiss Army Knife and from the many reviews I have read and seen does all
very well.
I have ordered the pro smoke manifold mod which stops flare ups when high temp grilling.
By the way my old WSM was looking a bit tired after 13 hard years of service and is now
being looked after by my brother, who I will get on board as he loves cooking as is a self
confessed Gastronaught.
-
I have just ordered one of the new 800's from Prosmoke, it arrives on Tuesday.
Will build, burn in and let you all know what I think.

I have a Charcoal Outback 36 inch. Its a very big heavy cast iron grilled
irreplaceable 28 years old but still cooks beautiful. Infact we had a Kebab
Fest last night 25 or so people six different home made Kebab types,
including my own Red Hot Chilli minced Beef 'n' Onion Kofta. All cooked
on the Outback about 90 Kebabs and Sweetcorn and Pitta's etc etc....
Well no complaints but I did tie one on so suffering today.
There is no substitute for the real thing BUY CHARCOAL BARBIES.

The fear is the new strain in India which is easy to catch and the jabs don't stop it
as well as other strains.
There were no traces of it here, Till yesterday, three cases in Bradford ! How did it
get there?
-
Well that just leaves you and me Ice.
Sadly I think Steve is right and you would be better making next year special.
Everyone is very cautious at the moment, even if you are allowed to go to the
Sun Spots in Europe, I don't think there will be may takers. Only the stupid,
thick or pig ignorant. Remember I speak from experience and Covid is for real
and I am now a Long Covid patient at Kinston Hospital every Monday for another
six months or so.

Low"n" Slow is the way to go mate. If you are a member or have a mate who is, Costco are doing Cowboy steaks
again. Two big steaks weighing about 3Kg Not cheap, but yummie. Low n slow for about three quarters an hour to rare in the middle
110f so smoker about 250 then sear at 700f. my favourite.
