  1. Ive often done similar when using the small smokey joe. I just wrap in two layers of foil to provide a bit of padding between the two layers. They key is how much air they get and it just takes a bit of experimenting.

    Long time fire cook but decided to do more and 'get social' through lockdown. 

    I started cooking with fire a long time ago with a home made half barrel with no lid. Later I built my own pizza oven, however I left that at my last house.

    Currently cooking with that same half barrel for hot direct, weber smokey joe, a cheap and nasty bullet smoker and a version one uuni
