    Burnt ends

    Made some pork burnt ends tonight. First time. Worked really well so very tasty. 3.5 hours in total and finished in a bullseye and honey sweet sauce. Delicious more pics on my insta. Gimme a follow if you like πŸ˜‰ https://www.instagram.com/fovsfood/
  2. Made some smashing chicken gyros on the smokey joe tonight. Marinaded in yoghurt and spices (cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, garam masala) and a dash of lemon juice. Tightly packed on skewers and cooked over indirect heat to temperature. Tasted fantastic. check out my insta for more pics

    Lighting BBQ

    Chimney, single wood lighter and good quality charcoal does for me every time. Thankfully never seem to have much bother with that plan
  4. Ive a Weber smokey joe and thats really portable. Thuros T1 do a β€˜to go’ version or maybe even a joy stove could be worth a look?
  5. Ive often done similar when using the small smokey joe. I just wrap in two layers of foil to provide a bit of padding between the two layers. They key is how much air they get and it just takes a bit of experimenting.
  6. Hi πŸ‘‹ Long time fire cook but decided to do more and 'get social' through lockdown. I started cooking with fire a long time ago with a home made half barrel with no lid. Later I built my own pizza oven, however I left that at my last house.
