Got to have some Balls to do that! We all talk BBQ, but to broadcast is a different level. I know Wade has done a few Videos and has talked about them with me.
Do you have any experience in this type of field?
Getting a project off the ground such as this takes a lot of planning, hard work and money. Wade and myself set this forum up, with the backing of Marcus from CWS, and it's tough going. People are very suspicious of some thing new.
If you need any help starting your project I am sure along with myself, Wade would be only too happy to help.
I am well aware and not wanting to tread on toes
It really is just an idea right now. I don't know if it has legs at all

OK, I've got a bit of a bug in my head at the mo
Wondering what the response would be if I set up another BBQ UK Podcast/Radio show
I like United Q, I also like the BBQ Central Show podcast and I'm pondering if there is room to do something that crosses between the 2 of them
I'm not likely to do this in the near future as I need to look into exactly what and how it would look like and kit involved but thought I would gauge response first

I'm incredibly tempted to take my BPS drums to my folks place near Dartford and smoke a turkey for the 8 family members we have, think I need a practise run first though
Not actually sure what we're having for dinner yet though

Have you checked the accuracy of the drum thermometer? The bi-metal thermometers are notoriously inaccurate. I tested several recently and some were over 30 C out. Even some of the Weber branded thermometers were up to 10 C off. It is really important to place one of the digital probes at the cooking grate level to know the temperature at which your meat is actually cooking.
i will when i get the probe

Maverick it is then, 733 as I can use the drum thermo for temp

Maverick ET732 or thermopro TP20?

Hi SParky and welcome to the forum. Which part of London are you from?
2 x Bradleys... That is probably just the start... BBQ/Smokers have a habit of increasing in numbers in the back garden all on their own
Turkey is great cooked in the smoker. We have smoked our Christmas turkeys (in a Weber kettle) for the past 10 years or so. It adds to the flavour and frees up space in the kitchen oven too for other things. One of the advantages of cooking the turkey in the smoker is that you are more likely to cook it by internal temperature rather than by time. This results in the meat remaining nice and moist. Gone are the days then your family will think that "turkey is a dry meat". For additional flavour you can also brine it for 24 hours before smoking.
If you do not already have one - at the top of your list to purchase needs to be a digital dual probe thermometer. This will really make a difference.
Digital probes are def on the list
Very much needed
And I'm in Orpington

Greetings from Deepest South London
My name is SParky, and my smoking addiction has really started in style this year, bought a BPS, won another a week later and then to kick everything off, 2 briskets and a pork butt for neighbours
Really looking forward to doing more (tonight I am probably doing Smoker Fried Chicken), particularly want to do some Lamb and maybe, just maybe a smoked Turkey for Christmas.
I also seem to have developed a book addiction, with my BBQ book collection growing and LOTS on the list to purchase
