Hi, I am thinking of building a BBQ that cuts down on on the Carbon Monoxide usually released by them. I just wanted to get some feedback on whether people liked the idea and what I should include in the design. I understand that there are already smokeless grills on the market but I would like both to not use gas as a fuel as that can take away from flavour and also not to be dependent on electrical components as I would like it to be portable and having to charge batteries or feed a cable out to your garden is always annoying.

    Thanks

    I like your creative idea:)

  2. I Just finished my first offset smoker build, and thought I'd share some pics. Body made from 1/4" pipe and plate, 3mm box section for the stand, and cast iron wheels off from amazon. Link was on this site

Was putting it together for a significant birthday party (my own), and of course didn't start early enough, so it ended up a complete rush job at the end. I tigged the whole thing out, which took me absolutely ages - I really ought to learn to stick weld!

Still have a snagging list to work through now the time pressure is off, but am pretty happy with the end results of the build and the smoking seemed to be a big success (beginners luck I'm sure).

  3. Had this Char-Broil electric smoker for about a month and a half already, and used it a total of 4 times so far. Everything came out great, no problems. I recently bought the stand and cover for it and now it resides outside. Before I had it on a dolly, where I kept it in my shed and just rolled it out whenever I was going to use it, but since I've been using it quite a bit, I decided to spend the extra money so I can keep it outside full time. You can check out this website for review.
