Mark4027
Hi from Suffolk. I’m at the beginning of a smoker build, and wondered if anyone could give me some help with the sizing and design of the smoker. The cook chambers going to made from an old LPG tank (1410lts) I’m going to insulate the firer box hopefully 6mm steel all round for that , maybe 10mm on the internal box for heat retention., this is where I need your help , thickness of the door as I herd 6mm can warp, also the thickness of the plate in the cook chamber that runs under the cooking racks is thicker better or not . many thanks Mark
Wade
One of the most widely respected BBQ Pit/Smoker build calculators is the one by Feldon. The link below will take you to his online calculator which should provide you with the sizing details you need. http://www.feldoncentral.com/bbqcalculator.html
