I used etch primer followed by filler primer. Then 3 coats of automotive metallic in blood black and then 2 coats of anti scratch automotive clear coat.
Is that OK with the heat?
After 15 hours or so I would think the sides would get too hot for normal paint no matter how insulated it is or am I wrong?
How did you apply, proper spray gun/compressor?

Can I ask what sort of paint did you use on the smoker?

No I work for a harbour authority but I do weld for some of my job.
How hard was it to make? Hours?

Not added it all up but I guess in the region of £900. I spent most lunch time and spare time on my weekend shifts building it.
Are you a welder/fabricator by trade?

Between Harwich and Colchester. May be taking it to my son's pub end of august for his charity fundraiser
Pretty local to me too, I would love to see it in action.
Can I ask, where did you get the plans?

Where are you getting the plans for the Gravity BBQ in the UK.
I can find imperial measurement ones but won't that make sourcing the material a bit tricky?

If you ever want to throw something into the gravity feed I will see if there is room.....
Seriously I would welcome someone giving it a try other than myself so DM me if you have a huge lump of meat to smoke or small. I am just experimenting with it at the moment.
Hold temp really well.
