Any suggestions on the best way to clean the enamel grill and stainless Steel heat deflector. Both currently sat in boiling water and washing up liquid quid. But can never get rid of the grease coating.
Also has anyone seen any cast iron grills to replace the enamel one?

At the moment mate she stays in the spare bedroom, but I'm hoping to make space in the garage so she can sit on a worktop.

So far i have cooked a Shoulder of Lamb and a Spatchcook chicken; Along with the usual family bbq fair on the griddle.
So far the Lamb was great; cooked at about 130 for 4 hours - shredded lovely. the Chicken was nice and moist and is being used for week day lunches while at work.
The quest for a heat deflector continues/ i used a terracotta plate. but due to it being glazed and modified by me it cracked but did a half decent job. off to the garden centre this weekend for a pot plant holder

I'm not cooking burgers; ergo, by the logic of the article saving the planet by not cooking them; its more Dave and his case of stella and the disposable in the park that is doing the damage....

TBH; i cant actually remember the last time that i cooked a burger on a BBQ; i am therefore saving the planet

Not an awful lot of kit, Just the mini Kamado.
Will be moving from our current home in a few months to a new abode, so when the sale completes and we move I plan on installing an outside kitchen with a wood fired Pizza oven.
I love BBQ food, low and slow brisket, Pulled meats especially lamb. Trying to get that Hickorys smoke house vibe at home.

Just thought that i say hello.
Bit about me, 40 something family man who loves being outside. Cycling is my thing and i love food of all types, but specifically meat and cheese. Love to go camping in France (meat and cheese and cycling).
Currently resident in a small Village just outside Stratford upon Avon in a beautiful part of the world. Although spent the first 35 years of my life in the Big Smoke.

Very nice @NigelG will be looking to cook a bit of lamb on mine this weekend; using low and slow - going to use a teracotta flower pot holder as a heat deflector

Well, just outside Stratford but wellsbourne is an area i know.
We eat outside so much; it just makes sense for me to get something better and I cannot afford a Big kamado - so the little one seems great - used it twice already and only got it on saturday.
Looking forward to giving it a real good work out over the summer and into autumn.
need to look at some sort of table for it like i have seen for Kamado Joe Jr
