Still about the same to be honest i was getting flame outs the only way i could stop it before the new chute was to hoover out all the pellet dust from the auger every 2 cooks otherwise i would get a flame out its the sawdust at the back of the spiral feeder clogging it up and making it turn slower i think
-
i started getting issues with pellet dust build up and e3 errors and was taking 30+ minutes to get to 600f i contacted weber they said the welded chute will fix it which i replaced now i get upto 600f in 13-15 minutes

The thing is weber sent an email saying the chute was fixed before it hit the UK, if that was the case why have they made a welded version and sending it to them in the states because if ours is ok why not send this one
I checked my chute when i saw the welded version and mine is the old style ive been talking to weber as im having to move pellets down the chute every 4-5 hours and they just keep sending the generic scripted answers like use weber pellets, make sure its clean yadda yadda yadda ill probably speak to them in person next week

Right, I did a test burn this morning - from cold to 600°F.
Outside temp was about 19°c - it took 9:15 mins to get to 225°f and although I left it burning for 1hr25 it never reached 600 - the highest was 500° for about 5 mins before backing off.
It churned through about 2/3 a hopper of pellets and I thought I’d let it run dry to see what happened - no low fuel warning at all and at the end lots and lots and lots of sawdust just going around & around in the auger!
Exact same issue apart from not being able to get to 600f i also had lots of sawdust i couldnt smoke anything less than 300f without it dropping more 100f, i bought an ash hoover to clean it all out and did a factory reset upto now its been fine and seems to be back to normal, it looks to me when its in shutdown its churning sawdust back into the auger and thats whats stopping the pellets flowing as its clogged as the dust never gets pushed out

With your GMG gold pellets wot temp can you get to? I can only get around 525F with them it won't go any hotter, but my SF is not playing right getting to any temp takes way to long.
Bag pellets turned up Tuesday and controller today. I'v fitted it and now it's connected to the app, at to delete and reinstall though. The knob as a different feel to it when it's turned. It still takes over 45 mins to 600F and from 225F to 600F was 31 mins.
Is anybody else having any temp issue ?
I read on another forum it's taking 14-16 mins to 600F with the welded chute. Is anybody else getting to temp that quick ?
Mine takes about 20-25mins to get to 600f from turn on ive used nothing but weber pellets i had issues with a flame out and pellets not feeding properly and would not hold temp unless it was on 300f when cleaning it i noticed there was an insane amount of compressed wood dust rolling round the auger and wondered if that was my problem with pellets not to feed properly so i purchased an ash hoover and cleaned it out did a factory reset booted it up today and was running perfect again

My items turned up yesterday, takes just over a week from ordering them online, haven't opened them yet but both items are there in their packaging.
Had to de-register my device and re-register it. But both items then appeared in the cart as per instructions and just had to do the checkout thing and the order was processed
I cant de register my grill for some reason spoke to them again today and said cause i purchased it in February im not entitled to them which absolutely ridiculous considering i never got my grill till the 19th they said you get the bbq course with your grill

Big bugger isn’t it.
this is my first pellet and really liking it. Turned it on, threw on the meat and went for a 2 hour walk. Exactly why I bought it so the wife doesn’t complain about to tending the BBQ all day and I can get on with the family.
Just a heads up on that during my brisket cook i found i had to push pellets down the hopper as they stopped dropping around the 4-5 hour mark

Excellent! Ive not used the apple or hickory yet been using the masterblend which is really good with an excellent smoke flavour just the right amount of smoke for my taste just ate some beef ribs that i threw on as a snack the smokering is insane cant wait to see how this brisket turns out later its sitting at 187f at the minute so not too long

Weber smokefire (pellet grill)
in Pellet Smokers

Thought id give a different pellet brand ago, so thought id try cookinpellets 100% hickory... they were excellent probably wont go back to weber pellets to be honest the smoke flavour was much nicer in my opinion and they worked excellent in the smokefire got to 600f no problem and only £99 for 54kg
