Sorry to hear the news of your diagnosis. I am sure our members here will support you through this tough time and offer some light relief with some good hearted chat and all things BBQ.

Its going well - should all be gone soon.. But still a while of tabs to curtail it - but should be here for a lot of years to come :) :)

So sorry to hear that, must of been heart renching to have to leave.

It sure was.. But hey we are safe here, good NHS sorting out my newly diagnosed Prostate cancer, good roads and brexit - well - i'll say no more!!!! he he he.

  3. It would have been an ideal venue on my plot back in Zimbabwe where we had 12 acres to play on - my Braai / BBQ pit was 3mt x 1.5mt oval with 8" of coals - could fit 20 or so people around it. Used loads of burning hot hard-wood for the coals and once going would last many hours of cooking. Yes !!!! we did a lot of entertaining and hosted a lot of people at our place due to being heavily involved in Smallbore Rifle and Practical Pistol Shooting. Our range hosted many national and provincials so we we the one to go to - I was also chairman for many years so had the say on where everyone camped, ate and stayed.

And welcome ! You have given me an idea on how to sort my pbc and weber setup

did you just angle grind holes out on table ? Or

Yeah I used a 4" angle grinder with a thin slitting disc - just carefully carefully pulled it along just cutting through - it goes un-naturally curved without any problems if you go slow and curved all the time.

  5. Hi - I've been smoking using a UDS for under a year and then upgraded to a 47cm WSM since christmas. Loving the WSM. Also just got a Weber Kettle so can Braai/BBQ  or smoke with it. I fitted both into a stainless steel table which is outside my work sheds as I work from home so nice n easy to look after when smoking is on the go. Got a Pro-Q smoke generator today so looking forward to gleaning loads of info from the forum.  I also have a biltong buisness which I may try to do a smoked version as well. I made a copy Pro-Q the other day but made it a bit big and had a few problems keeping it alight. Smoked some cheeses for different times to test - now mellowing in vacpack bags in the fridge.
