I had a look at mine but doesn't appear that there is a way to do this, if anyone has any suggestions for replacements that are a bit more reliable.

Mine doesn’t rest at zero if the sun is out. I understand it’s annoying when something isn’t as it should be, but try not to worry too much. You want an internal temp probe if you don’t have one that rests at the grate level to get a more accurate idea anyway. I use the dome one at a glance when setting up. Then it’s all managed via the inkbird temps

  2. You can see from the remaining charcoal how high I had the basket full. I lighted the charcoal in the middle. Pretty impressed with how much is left after 7 hours. Plus the down time after closing the vents.

Wouldn't the 34cm ProQ frontier basket fit or do you think it would be a tight squeeze?

It would have sort have fitted, but based on my measurements the bottom circumference of the ProQ basket would be resting on the bottom of the ceramic insert, as it’s too narrow at the bottom for the ProQ fire basket to touch the charcoal grate.

This smaller one I have a gap all around the basket instead of it touching. I just completed a 7 hour low and slow. I’ll take a photo tomorrow when I check how much charcoal is left if that helps you decide?

  4. Hi All,

I've gone for the ProQ Ranger basket for my Aldi Kamado that arrived last week.  I think it'll be a better fit rather than touching the sides.

Time will tell if that's a good guess.

  5. Hi,

I know the big brands are all known. I saw this,

but it went before I could arrange transport. Are these worth a gamble at this price, or better waiting for the Aldi one again?

It looks like a bigger version of the Lidl mini?

No idea what accessories it came with and looks like it needs a new gasket set but it does appear there are some bargains to be had. Or maybe saved myself a headache 🤕 😀

  6. Sorry not the best photo. It was as expected. Presses through the door and catch clips on. It was loose when I got it and fell off. I tried to get it back on and bend it back but wasn’t sure whether to bend the two forkS completely or was there a bit missing

Spoke to Scott and he’s popping a new door in the post. All built and waiting to use.

Quite like how the water pan and lower grill sit tog1A72C2A7-620F-4A7E-893F-7A6E1945C5F6.thumb.jpeg.c313e4b16f1489d764fa8f4180830c21.jpegether

  7. Hi All,

Handle isn’t attached on a new smoker. Just wondering if there is another piece missing? Or a way to fix this?

I can put the handle and washer on the outside and pop the handle into the catch on the inside, but it just falls back out eventually. Is there another piece missing that holds it together?

I’ve sent an email to Scott@callowretail.co.uk but might call the sales number as not sure if that email is live.

  8. Hi All,

New to the forums, not so new to BBQ and smoking. Still very much an amateur though and figured one of the ways to improve is join in here rather than just googling and winging it.

Currently working with a Weber GBS and WSM 47cm.

Just picked up the Cook4All because, erm, well....because I couldn’t resist the price and fancied adding to the collection. My partner just rolled her eyes and laughed when it arrived.

Saw another post about Essex users meeting one day. Be nice when we can mingle a bit more. 👍
