I've spent a small fortune but it has been worth it. Some have been amazing, some have been god dam awful but here it is, I would like to share my top list of go-to's when I order. Too many places want to sell you a "box", which is good for them, but stops you selecting what you want. Pipers Farm link is a 404. Which Tom Hixson brisket? Most are out of stock. Foxholes say, "Dear Customer, we cannot fulfil any internet orders at this present time, please email our team to order". Not sure when email stopped being an internet service. Not sure when email stopped being an internet service. Hi Arian, These place you can buy a single item if you like as I have done, no need to buy meat you won't cook. Tom Hixson changes all the time so best to check every other day as they have a stall at the famous Smithfield market in London. I'll have to check the pipers farm link but you can also Google them and look at the rest of the meat they sell. As for fox holes they are a small local farm that have a on site shop and butchers. I probably should have mentioned with that one since lock down you have to call them. They are really helpful and friendly and you can speak directly to the butcher. My favourite go to is John Davidson, again it always changes due to stock. I've had a few Wingham reserve briskets from there and after 9-12 hours in the smoker come out incredible ever time. 100% recommend. Hope that helps. sotv Posted March 1, 2021 Share Posted March 1, 2021 I get all my shellfish from here https://berwickshellfish.com/ arrive really well packaged and a good selection of shellfish and fish available at prices not far off supermarkets but bigger and better quality Also joined a site about I read about in The Guardian, last month, not tried them out for a delivery yet but it seems a good idea and with £25 free delivery to get fish delivered (whole or filleted) straight from the boat cutting out the middlemen seems a good idea to me. What they have on sale every evening and prices depends on what the boats have landed that day. But seem a good selection of flat fish available daily amongst other fish Just register on the site and they email you every evening about 8pm with what is on sale for that day with a link, you have to be quick though as they seem to sell out fast. https://peskyfish.co.uk/ For online meat orders as mentioned in OP I have used Gridiron as well as The Village Butchers and been happy with the meat and quality of service provided. But fortunately now found a really good butcher local to me who will get me any cut I want basically at really good prices, so happy about that. Justin Posted March 2, 2021 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Lucky for I in Braintree we have C J Humphreys and Sons abattoir with a butcher deli on site Blixes Farm, Rank's Green, Chelmsford CM3 2BH, the meat, cheese bread and cakes etc is fantastic, reasonably priced, local providence and round the corner. At the time of my post we were in full lock down and alot of the local places were not open hence the online list. I dont live far from Braintree so I'll check out C J Humphreys and Sons abattoir.
