Hake and Clams in Garlic and Wine Sauce In a Cast Iron Skillet

Recommended Posts

Did this and super tasty if you like fish dishes, the sauce worked really well. A one pot cook in a skillet with lid.

If you fancy giving it ago recipe here I chose Hake as it is my favourite white fish, but sure any type of white fish would work. Used these fish stock cubes, great flavour as Clam Juice is hard to find over here and homemade bacon bits in place of the pancetta, otherwise as is.

That looks fantastic, love hake.

Me too, always think is an underrated piece of fish, always try to grab a fillet, when I see it on sale around where I live.

Simon, if you are in the South East, decent fishmonger in Forest Row, https://www.veaseyandsons.co.uk/

Previous fishmonger of the year winner, mentioned on Radio 2 breakfast show when Chris Evans had Nigel Barden cooking on Thursdays a few years ago.

run own boat out of Eastbourne(?) so normally slab has what it has caught, best John Dory ever had came from them
