Well it was fillets not whole fish and cooked in a basket with fresh rosemary, coriander, bit of basil, sliced onion and lemon for about 25 mins over a medium heat. Couple of flare ups crisped part of the fillets but we like that like crispy sardines, served with homemade potato salad and green salad.
