Mike Cheryl Saunders
I want to buy more shiny BBQ things but I’m getting that look from the Mrs and that thing they say - “yeah, do what you want” Well I’m not falling for it, so I need to show willing by selling something that’s very dear to my heart in order to gain permission to purchase more. I know, cruel. So here is my 14 inch Damascus (style) hunting knife with Ram’s horn handle. this isn’t a cheap, etched knock off, it’s a properly folded carbon & stainles steel bladed beauty (you can see the folds in the spine) and comes with a hand made this leather sheath. it’s been in the cupboard for almost two years without any action, in fact, it’s only tasted flesh once, on some ribs but I panicked at the grease on the blade and quickly wiped it clean whilst hyperventilating. it’s advertised elsewhere in an auction style so can go any time, if I get the right offer, I will let you know and stop any further offers. cheers

Mike Cheryl Saunders
I absolutely love it! But someone should use it instead of it being all alone in the dark
Wade
Knives can be very personal things. Your Damascus hunting knife looks like quite a beast I have a knife that is special tome too - though it remains unused in my drawer and needs more TLC than I give it. I inherited it from my uncle who emigrated to Canada when I was young. It is a Canadian Hunting Knife and is now 60+ years old. Not an antique I know but your post has prompted me to get it out and clean it up.

Justin
Knife like this live several life times, care for it. I recommend not selling mate, you will not get it back, If you really are selling what is the price" It is definitely for using , hardened folded steel is so strong. Do not hide away. it will last Edited October 5, 2018 by Justin

Icefever
When we were kids we always had a sheath knife on our belt, we used them properly, (didn't go around stabbing other kids like now). Pop any of these on your belt and walk down the High St today and the old bill will be on you like a ton of bricks. Funny this old post got bumped, because only the other day I was looking for the same, as after chrimbo I may be working back on a farm and when you need to use a knife and only have one hand free a sheath on your belt is an easy option. I still carry a pocket knife that I've had for years, had to use it only the other day to help a fellow trucker out.....I may treat myself for chrimbo or ask Rosie for one??? Justin
Stuck in the past mate. People used to carry guns too. Look at the mess in the USA. Nothing stays the same.
Smokin Monkey
Will have to check in the Loft to see if I have still got my old Sheath Knife, which was my Dads when he was a Scout and then gave it to me when I was in the Scouts.
Raptor72
Aye I lost my sheath knife when I was younger . My friend in Alaska makes Inuit knives too I’m fascinated by knives ! Not in a serial killer unhealthy way . Rather I respect the craftsmanship and admire them ?

Icefever
Bugger making do with a sheath knife, let's go the whole hog and walk down the High St with one of these on your hip.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Handmade-Damascus-Steel-Axe-hand-Hatchet-bushcraft-camping-outdoor-garden-2177/222345091485?hash=item33c4ccd99d:g:bOoAAOSwyH5bdeFM
