I'm with you! Any fish, with bones, just doesn't do it for me, I think it was my dad's love of kippers that put me off! Bones, tiny thin ones that became enormous once you put that bit of fish in your mouth! That stalwart of the East Coast, Rock Eel or any of the other names it swims under is fine by me, just one central back bone and its meaty as hell, even Salmon and Trout are OK when smoked but as for Bass, Bream, Plaice, Dover Sole or Mackerel! Don't even get me started on Herrings and Pilchards.?
