AdamG
Last week I seen a youtube video of some scotch eggs done on the grill and thought I would give them a try😋 The youtube video was posted by Bald BBQ UK   These ones are done with a bbq rub rather than breadcrumbs, but still delicious. I smoked them with some oak. Next time I will try these I will aim for a softer yolk
pittmab
Nice idea, runny yolk would have been the icing on the cake 🤤
AdamG
I smoked them at 120C, however in hindsight...im thinking that will allow the heat to reach the yolks and cook them before the sausage meat is fully cooked🤔 Might shoot for 180C next time to get the outer cooked quickly...might be less smokey flavour though. What do you think?
U can do that again
with Pittmab, has to be a runny yoke, Tesco finest runnyyoke scotch eggs are decent especially when reduced.... Hard boiled eggs are to be avoid as.........
U can do that again
Did the cook take long?
AdamG
Not sure exactly of the time, im guessing about 50-60 mins🤔 Runny yolk is what I prefer but I wont say no to hard boiled, im guessing thats probably going to be the most challenging part of them...and getting a good smokey flavour
