Morning guys and gals so this weekend I've got 5 kilos of beef ribs to cook and 4 kilos of brisket along with sausages etc ..

Now I've seen people using butchers paper etc but could I use imitation Kraft paper as I have around 5 metres of it ..

It's not waxed either, but it is not fda approved..

I've read on american fourm thatbsome people use the Kraft paper 90gsm ,I just want to no if anyone on here has used it ..

I did some research before buying some peach butchers paper from the Amazon US site. There is very little difference in them from the  wood pulp used in the manufacture side of them. Butchers paper is meant to have something added for better liquid retention/absorption and some kraft papers can leak rip because of this. But as you say other BBQ enthusiasts have had success using imitation Kraft paper, that hasn't been treated with wax, so see no reason why you shouldn't give it ago

Hi all,

I too am looking for the exclusive butcher paper, found a UK supplier. But they only sell in bulk:

500mm x 300m reels
65gsm Peach MSP
15 Reels MOQ @ £27.69 per reel
25 Reels @ £26.04 per reel
50 Reels @ £24.80 per reel
100 Reels @ £24.18 per reel

I'm thinking if people are interested, we can approach them for a group buy?

Aye, and £7.50 P&P for the 20ft sample. That's not a bargain :)

(and 29 cookies, which seems more like storing a whole website :) )
