  1. Hey everybody, it's good to find an active UK based smoking forum. Only started smoking a few months ago and it's been a step learning curve. My dad gave me his old barbie, a char-griller smokin' outlaw and that was it. First attempt actually went pretty well, despite leaks everywhere, second was a bit better after a few seals, 3rd was worse, finished mods, 4th was okay, 5th wasn't and then a 6th 2kg butt took 14 hours before I gave up and stuck it in the oven 😄.   2. Good Evening all, Im Ash from just outside Heathrow, West London 👋. I have no experience with BBQ/ Smoking apart from the usual sausages and burgers on a gas grill. We have just brought a new BBQ at home that is a dual fuel set up, one side gas one side coal (UniFlame Classic Combi Grill). The coal side isn't very big at around 40x40cm but has an adjustable height coal tray with a door on the front. So not really big enough to do large amounts of brisket etc, but hoping to buy some smaller cuts and learn with what I have for now. Looking forward to this new interest/ hobb

  4. Just bought my first smoker (ProQ Frontier) following a fantastic meal cooked by a friend. But I realise I know nothing so thought it best to join a group that can hopefully teach me a thing or two! 😊 I'm going to try to smoke a little venison this weekend to try out my new toy. If anyone has any tips they are gratefully received!
