  1. Did you ever make a riser? I made one last year, I haven’t used it yet and was wondering about battery life in the rotisserie?
  2. So many forums are being left behind by faceache, I’ve had to join it to just get on the groups I like. I hope this place sticks around as it has been very a good source of information and a friendly place. Plus it’s getting warmer so we’ll all be out smoking or whatnot!
  3. Why don’t you look at commercially available ones and then just build one you like the look of. I don’t think there can be no right or wrong way as trial and error is what makes it a fun hobby. Have you thought how you’d join the stainless plates together? It’s a hard metal to work with but you could use thin RSA and rivet the plates to it, it would be quite heavy but with the wind yesterday would be good. You could then clad the outside like you said with T&G for a smokehouse look.

    Drumsticks 2 ways

    They look lovely
  5. How would you say the eco smoker has faired now you’ve used it?
  6. They look lovely; very weird weather today 15 degrees with sun and rain 😂
  7. Looks great! Bet it tastes better
  8. That looks brilliant, have you got a link for the battery pack?
  9. I know SOTV posts a lot of deals on the hotukdeals app I’d start there. I guess you can’t go wrong with a Weber I’ve still got my old genesis and it’s lasted forever.
  10. I have the Inkbird one you’ve listed it’s good and does the job. They offer codes a lot and worth waiting for.
  11. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience, you don’t really hear bad reviews like this. My Genesis silver is probably about 15 years old and still in great condition.
  12. I’ve used this seller on eBay Wood chunks decent sizes and nice wood. Also I’m sure on of the adverts at bottom of forum used to be a wood supplier.
  13. Be great to see the results
  14. Surely would be okay if not galvanised? So maybe stainless or brass? I remember the guides for UDS’ used to say don’t use galvanised due to the fumes it gives off
  15. Can’t recommend these enough, we currently have our Christmas decorations in one and it’s been great for the last few years. Always well preserved.
  16. Wade, what bbq course do you do?
  17. I’m going to give it a go with plug plants and hopefully sow my own next year. I say I’ll do this but it’s just another thing to add to a massive list of stuff to attempt.

    Fire Pits

I’ve literally just been to a garden centre near me called Ruxley Manor they had some great dish type ones with the tripod that can hang over the top. This is the link to the tripod I can’t find the pit on there but it’s in the picture https://www.ruxley-manor.co.uk/shop/products/bbqs-and-firepits/outdoor-heating/tripod-with-hanging-grill.html
  20. I’m interested in giving this a go. Any good guides to follow? also sotv do you keep posting all the great deals on HUKD?
  21. Thank you I did use the code they gave.
  22. Hi I’d suggest reading through similar threads for recommendations, I personally watched loads of YouTube and as a Weber fan went that way.
