Hi, sorry forgot to mention I'm using a smoke hollow bbq and instant light bbq charcoal which is really small. I've ordered some steel mesh with 5 mm holes which I'm going to lay on top of the original. Just hope it doesn't burn through 🤔

Hi all, my charcoal pieces are falling through the grate to the bottom as they're small, what have you people done to combat this? Any suggestions welcome

Thanks Dave, I've no chimney so just light in the BBQ, open up the front vents and open up the 2 little top vents, close the lid and leave to go out. Is this correct matey?
