Thanks for this - that does look fairly tight at the top. What sort of gap do you estimate there is at the 4 tighter sections?

Going to hold off ordering one until you report back - spoken with a guy from YNNI who said the 20" has cracked fireboxes. I've got a 2021 AK too.

Does any metal sit snugly against the firebox? I've spoken with somebody from YNNI who advised not to get the 20" and to go for the 18" instead as he's had reports that the 20" D&C has cracked a few AK fireboxes due to thermal expansion.

So XDP just delivered my Rattan furniture from Aldi which was ordered exactly a week after the Kamado. Judging by the way it was lobbed out the back of the extremely tired looking van I'm a bit worried about how many pieces the AK will be in.

XDP updated my delivery status today to say it's now at the delivery depot. Aldi have also given them my rattan garden furniture to which they're claiming delivery tomorrow - rattan was ordered a week after the AK!

Sorry was just asking what courier yours came with? Definitely a manufacturing flaw but think you should be OK.

AO delivery? If there's no corresponding crack on the inside of the egg advice seems to be for something that small get some enamel paint on it and it'll be fine.

Doesn’t make sense that they’re using different couriers & so happens one of their options are delivering as they should but the other which has previous for poor service is still being used. Frustrating.

Has anyone received theirs via XDP so far? My XDP tracker is showing it's been at the collection depot since 11am on Friday, no further updates. Poor communication is a personal hate of mine.

I've had notification of dispatch today. Got the dreaded XDP as courier however - really hoping it arrives in 1 piece! Not really sure when it's being delivered yet, just says it's been collected - can't see from which depot however.

Yep sure did. Had a laptop on all night with a chrome extension refreshing the page every 5 seconds. Actively monitored it from 0730 - got one as soon as it went live at 8, first batch was sold out by 8.01.
