    My first Aldi appeared with a broken lid, the second has been a dream. As far as I could find there's nothing close to it for the price.

    After a few sausage and burger grills, today was the first proper cook, a beer can chicken. I managed to get the temperature rock solid for once, and filled the drip tray with water and some garlic and thyme, and a spot of beer. I settled down to watch the England match. 1:45 hours later a really moist chicken comes out. Impressive

    The good-lady-artist-her-in-doors has created a nice bbq zone at the end of the garden for me to play in

    After filling it full of lump wood I managed to hit 200C and hold it there. 30 minutes later I had some cracking snags to eat. Hope yours is all good

    They arranged collection, took all the old packaging and even refunded the original delivery, which I wasn't expecting to be honest. A good service. First cook tonight, just some sausages to test things out

    I just fell really lucky with a second stock arrival, the original was refunded as they didn't have any more to send me.

    Absolutely gutted. It came today in a damaged box,and when I opened it 😢 Refund sorted, back to waiting for them to come up again

    Aldi released a few this morning and i managed to bag one, very excited. So my next quest, learning how to use the thing. What are peoples top tips for a novice? Are there any particularly good books or websites i should be paying attention to?

    Looks like the Aldi Egg is due to be back in stock on 9th May. Fingers crossed

    Hi, I'm really keen to get a Kamado, but finding it hard to justify the initial outlay. The Aldi egg looks just what I need, especially as it comes with a stand, but as demand looks like a lot higher than supply I'm not convinced that I'll manage to get hold of one. I've seen on some other posts that people have got them from Alibaba, but then they didn't come with any accessories or deflectors. What should my plan B be in the likely event that I don't manage to get hold of one of the Aldi ones? Thanks
